JRRC…

The Jemez Riders Riding Club (JRRC) is made up of motorcycle enthusiasts from Atomic City and surrounding areas. Our mission: Ride; Have a good time; Organize and participate in charity events; Build community relations; Raise motorcycle awareness; Meet and ride with other New Mexico motorcycle clubs and independents; and Treat everyone with respect.

Every year, the JRRC organizes a benefit ride for a young man in the Jemez Mountains. Wyatt Taylor was severely injured riding his ATV in 2017. Even though he is facing years of surgeries, his outlook on life is inspirational. Always smiling, always with a kind word for anyone he meets, he’s the kind of young man that we all wish we were at 16 years of age.

Something we are looking forward to is meeting new friends on the New Mexico roadways. The best people on earth are motorcyclists. That’s just a scientific fact. Hooking up with new friends, heading out onto the open roads…what could be better?

One thing we want to be known for is how many benefit runs we participate in throughout New Mexico. So if you know of a charity event, let us know and we’ll do our absolute best to come be part of it.

For years, members of the JRRC has been raising awareness in northern New Mexico as well as throughout the state. We have written proclamations for the Governor, State Legislatures, as well as local counties declaring May as Motorcycle Awareness Month. In fact, in 2018 and again in 2021, we authored proclamations for all 33 counties in New Mexico, as well as the Governor. Beginning several years ago, the NMDOT used the proclamation we authored for the Governor as an established safety initiative in order to run motorcycle awareness campaigns on their electronic billboards throughout New Mexico.

While it’s hard to measure the true results, we have been approached by vehicle drivers in northern New Mexico telling us they enjoy our awareness campaigns. We make sure our events are both fun and informative.
