Striving To Make Our Community And Surrounding Areas A Better Place
COMMUNITY SERVICE
Proclamations
Since 2016, the President of the JRRC, Ghost, has authored proclamations for the Governor of New Mexico declaring May as Motorcycle Awareness Month. This is in conjunction with the National Highway Traffic Safety Association. Beginning In 2018, the New Mexico Department of Transportation started using the Governor’s proclamation as an established state safety initiative in order to run motorcycle awareness messages on their electronic highway signs throughout the state.
In 2018 and (hopefully) again in 2021, Ghost authored proclamations for representatives from all 33 counties in the state of New Mexico. County Councils or Mayors from every county signed and presented the proclamations into record. Through our research, we believe that no other state has ever accomplished this feat, especially twice.
Adopt-A-Highway
Cleaning up the roads we ride and being good stewards in our community sometimes means we get a little dirty. JRRC adopted 2 sections of highway leading into and out of Los Alamos and White Rock, NM in 2019.
NMDOT allowed us to designate the section of highway leading into Los Alamos as having been adopted by “Watch For Motorcycles". Now everyone that heads into and out of our home town receives a motorcycle awareness message. It also lets touring motorcyclists know that Los Alamos is a motorcycle-friendly community.

Coloring Books
What better way to raise kids interest in motorcycles and motorcycle awareness than giving them something that will make them smile while looking at bikes and bikers? In 2020, we designed coloring books for kids of all ages. We hand these out at community events, motorcycle rallies, anywhere we can. If you’re interested in getting a few for your kids, just let us know.
Community Events
In order to raise motorcycle awareness and build good community relations, JRRC participates in local events.
Since 2018, JRRC has entered the local high school’s Homecoming Parade with our motorcycle awareness floats. We feel this is one of the best ways to connect with those we share the roads with. Besides candy, we also hand out motorcycle awareness magnets, and stickers.
JRRC also participates with motorcycle awareness booths at the local Friday night concert series in Los Alamos.
